Intended to be a “cabin fever” breaker of sorts, the event’s program will feature fun and creative weather-conducive games, contests, creative activities, yummy treats, animals, classic pastimes (hockey, snow sculpture, ice skating, bonfires, etc), and more. Community members interested in joining the project are welcome to now indicate their interest. Fresh and appropriate ideas are welcome, as well as inquiries about an existing “wish list” of event program concepts. The planning committee is meeting regularly, and actively looking for additional volunteers, sponsors of the event, and groups. The already-growing list of participants includes Rockland’s Flanagan Center, Rockland Public Library, Maine Lobster Festival, Coast Guard, Sidecountry Sports, Rotary, Salvation Army, and the Coastal Children’s Museum.
